Enough of the persecutions and arrests of the fighters of Cádiz
An injury to one, is an injury to all!
In San Pedro neighborhood of Cádiz, the National Police yesterday began the repression against the heroic struggle of the fighters from the Metal Bay. House to house, with photos in hand and with a huge display, six comrades were detained, one of them Vicente, who was seen by the whole world when he was defending a female comrade from the police batons, they accuse him of "authority attack ". An action worthy of a dictatorship, but carried out under the orders of the "most progressive government in history" of the PSOE-UP that first attacked the striking workers demonstrations, then sent the tanks and now they are repressing the workers.
The Metal bosses attack workers every day when they don’t pay the hours, don’t comply with the collective bargaining agreement, impose abusive working hours, make abusive contracts and retaliate against those who raise their voices to demand their rights as with the comrades of the CTM Metal Workers Coordinator who go to trial on December 20. In this situation, all we see is how the government defends the bosses and makes a real "authority attack”.
All this happens after both CCOO and UGT signed a miserable agreement behind the backs of the workers, the metal auxiliaries and now they leave those fighters who are being arrested alone.
This policy of the government and the employers seeks to intimidate those who came out to fight against precariousness (slavery) that the companies want to impose on the workers. Metal workers are not alone! And that has been demonstrated with the enormous solidarity of the entire State and from different parts of the world. An injury to one, is an injury to all!
All our solidarity from the Combative and Class Bloc (ASC, CNT, CoBas, PlataformaSindical EMT, SAS and Solidaridad Obrera) with the Metal workers and with the people of Cádiz who are suffering this brutal persecution. From the Unions we are not going to allow more repression, persecution and arrests of workers.
We demand:
● Unconditional release for the detained comrades
● End of repression and persecutions
● Derogation of the Gag Law
● Complete derogation of the Labor Reforms 2010-2012 and the Pension Reforms 2011-2013 and 2021
Long live the struggle of the working class!
