The solidarity of the European port workers with the strike of the dockers of the Spanish state is still growing.
Dockers from Belgium, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands again stopped Madrid Maersk, the second largest container shipper in the world.
When the Madrid Maersk arrived to Algeciras, it was diverted and directed to the port of Antwerp, Belgium. But there it was surpised by the solidarity of stevedores who refused to operate on board in support of the struggle of the Spanish port workers.
But this did not end in Belgium. Madrid Maersk was again diverted to the United Kingdom but there also the solidarity of the workers, who refused to discharge anything, forced the company to deviate.
They chose as destination the port of Rotterdam in Holland. While the employers continued searching for port and workers to unload their ship, the solidarity of the workers continued growing by the ports of Europe.
The workers at the Dutch port terminal FNV-Havens are now the last to stop the ship and prevent it from unloading on its shores in solidarity with the struggle of its Spanish state brothers.
Long live the proletarian internationalism of stevedores! Transnationals do not recognize frontiers to plunder and exploit the workers and they beat us centralizing their actions. We , the workers also know that we can stop the world because we are the ones who produce, transport and unload everything.
The workers are already carrying the second consecutive day of stoppages at the docks. The struggle of dockworkers must be a struggle of the whole working class of the Spanish State.
It is that, if the stevedores win in their fight, all the workers win. Today in the Spanish state the vast majority of jobs are precarious, with contracts ranging from a week to a year and with miserable wages.Almost 19per cent of the people are unemployed. If the stevedores' struggle is defeated, what awaits the working class of the Spanish State is more degradation and flexibility to our jobs.
We cannotstand it any more. All workers want the dockers to win and also have the same salary and the same conditions as them.
From all the workers' organizations a general strikeshould be called. For the stevedores to win, for a decent wage for all, for work for all, and so on.
The struggle of stevedores is part of a single struggle for employment and decent wages. The unity and independence of the workers must end its atomization and must raise the head and raise a working class attacked again and again since the last labor reforms.
The workers' conquests cannot be selled, we mustdefend them! If the stevedores win, we all win!
The solidarity of the stevedores in Europe show the road to win
The dockworkers of Europe have shown how to unite the struggle over the frontiers in front of the attack to our conquests by the different governments and transnationals.
The fight to prevent that the Madrid Maersk unloads in some port of Europe has become a flag of the solidarity of stevedores.
Now this fight is in a step further. On June 29 all ports in Europe will stop their activity for two hours in solidarity with the Spanish dockers who want guarantees that more than 6,100 workers will keep their jobs. And it is also part of the struggleagainst the attack on the workers' achievements in Europe.
Despite and against all the trade union bureaucracies and the treacherous leaders who have tried to tell workers that everything is solved country by country, the stevedores demonstrate the power of workers to confront multinationals and their governments. This unity and solidarity in the struggle is fundamental to victory.
On the day we join the workers of the continent and the world we will be invincible! Open the road to the internationalism of the working class!
