The open camp Eko Station is evicted
EkoStation is an open camp near the border between Greece and Macedonia, where until yesterday lived approximately 1300 refugees. At 4 am today, busses with the Syriza police came to EkoStation to start the eviction. As happened in Idomeni, the Greek police blocked the passage of all volunteers and kicked them out of the camps. Refugees are forced to evacuate and are taken to military camps. At 10 am the eviction was being carried forward. The same is happening in the camp of Hotel Hara, another open camp which is few kilometers from the Greek border. These two camps were the largest remaining after Idomeni were evicted in northern Greece.
Screams, tears and fears were felt around the field. Despair, frustration and helplessness. They know that in these military camps, which are real concentration camps, their living conditions will be even worse and the possibility of a decent future will be even more remote.
Tsipras, as executioner of all EU seeks to evict all open fields and send refugees to isolated areas in concentration camps. We cannot allow this! Open the borders! Papers (documentation), work, houisng, education and health for all! Down with Tsipras, the executioner of the imperialist Maastricht! Down with the Europe of Maastricht that only seeks to expel refugees and pass the worst attacks on the working class and youth of Europe!
