Tribute to Leon Trotsky, 80 years since his assassination by Stalinism
From Naples, intervention by Amir Hakim Al Amery, fighter for the Syrian revolution and the entire Middle East in Europe
"I am not a communist because I am Muslim, but I support and support the Fourth, and I am very interested in what happened to Trotsky.
Because Trotsky is a martyr"
Hi everybody. I am Amir, your comrade; I live in Naples in the south of Italy. I am a revolutionary like you, and I always support you. And I thank you for everything, all the support that you give me. Because as the Fourth International… which is a very, very important organization, I very much appreciate your help for the revolution and for all revolutions in the Middle East and around the world. Because you are the only ones who speak from the left about Syria and its revolution. Because we know very well, those who claim to be communists, what they do. Because in Naples I always do some demonstrations, and there are not many organizations that come with me to do demonstrations, protests. That's why more than once the YPGs have attacked me. I have videos, everything.
I really appreciate the effort that you are making. Of course I am always in contact with the revolutionaries of Idlib and Syria. Clearly also here in Europe, here in Europe I have many friends of the revolution. But I am always in contact with them who are in Idlib, who are resisting that fascist regime. And they don't stop. They won't stop, they won't stop. And for that reason, we with our support that we give ourselves, they can believe in us, believe in that organization that if God wants it can grow. I am not a communist because I am a Muslim, but I support and support the Fourth, and I am very interested in what happened to Trotsky. Because Trotsky is a martyr, what happened to him is incredible. He died in a horrible way, because he was betrayed by those agents. I really liked studying and becoming passionate about his life, because I am passionate about that character. That was what I wanted to say and I thank you again. Thank you.
