Statement by the Union Confederation Labour Solidarity

Fellow workers of Argentina,

We have heard, through different media, the repressive hell that bosses and the State are imposing on many of your toughest fighters. Particularly, we mean the four comrades of the East Line bus drivers of La Plata, who were imprisoned after participating in the struggles of the working class and defending public services. We mean comrade Daniel Ruiz, shop steward of Chubut, imprisoned for defending welfare of the toiling masses and other oil workers from Las Heras who are being judged for defending dignity and life conditions of their workmates. We mean the workers of Rio Santiago Shipyard of La Plata who are prosecuted for defending bread for them and their children. We mean the Argentinean workers, fighters of the native peoples, social fighters who are being repressed by the government, sold out to the interests of big international financial companies, and by the political class, which uses violence and Law to impose justice.
Therefore, we mean the comrades Mac Dougall, Emanuel Lazzaro, Pablo Varriano and Luciano Fiocchi. We mean those who, as them, chose the path of dignity and struggle, the path of tomorrow for the majority and the culture for life, the path of building the new world that workers keep in our hearts, but also in our hands and vulnerable bodies. Our vulnerable bodies, our uncertain dignity, submitted by the barbarian pushes of the repression and criminalization, the beatings and sticks, the hatred of those who want to build over the ruins of society the funereal empire of Capital.
We, workers of the world, must be siblings over borders, express our solidarity beyond benefits of a bourgeois policy, join our struggles beyond the ideological or national divisions that, although completely real, Capital wants to use as a tool to defeat us. That is why we want to express our direct support, our admiration, our proletarian solidarity.
Today is repression, dignity and struggle. Tomorrow will be made of the materials that dreams are made of and the sweat of worldwide workers. May you build the Argentina of the free women and men of tomorrow. We will learn from you.
