On April 25th, during the week the union was in collective bargain and discussing the next steps of protesting against the pension reform, we received the letter of the Argentinean comrade Emanuel Lazzaro, bus driver, from the International Network for the Liberation of the Political Prisoners, who is in jail together with other three comrades of East bus line of La Plata, Buenos Aires. The repression to the workers was openly condemned by the ranks of the metro workers and the letter was endorsed by tens of comrades.
In Argentina, there’s a set of attacks against the workers of La Plata and the oil workers of Santa Cruz, with the imprisonment of Daniel Ruiz and the persecution to Sebastian Romero.
In Brazil is no different. Each day that passes, the employers and the government do not spare on attacking workers. The labour and pension reforms come together with a fierce persecution on the workers and the people. The murders of Marielle and Anderson are still unpunished. Rafael Braga is still in jail. Fighters without home of Belo Horizonte are imprisoned. Families from Jardim da Uniao (occupation of workers without home of Sao Paulo, TN) are under eviction threat. Persecution increases every day. WE CANNOT ALLOW THIS!
We will fight against the imprisonment to the fighters. Enough of persecuting the workers in struggle. |
