12/12 International Day for the freedom of the world's political prisoners
The oil workers of Las Heras traced the road for us
Never alone again
Once again, we join the call from the comrades of Las Heras who with determination and courage have defended their comrades arrested and convicted by the infamous Kirchner regime, but this fight for the freedom of their comrades has been extended worldwide Also for the freedom of all political prisoners in the world, what a great contribution from you and how courage you are! A tremendous example to follow.
From here in the Colombia of the nine gringo military bases, of this totalitarian regime to whom its hands has not trembled to use fascist methods against the masses massacring and assassinating social and union leaders, generating massive displacements, at the same time applying anti-popular measures, unloading the crisis on the shoulders of the poor, indigenous and black workers and peasants.
But, despite so much injustice and repression, the masses have put up a fight and said that is enough of so much outrage. They resist and fight to the death against the infamous and semi-fascist regime of the bourgeoisie at the head of Duque and Uribe; the days of November 21, such as those of September 9 and 10, where the masses escalated to another level in the struggle, not only with the mobilizations and strikes, but also facing the regime in street battles. It was showed by the burning of the 50 police stations; dozens of vehicles and motorcycles that belonged to the repression organizations were burned. As a result, the quota of sacrifice of the masses was 15 young people killed, more than 300 wounded and at least 400 arrested, and several missing.
Today the crisis pushes the masses to greater misery and despair, 8 million new unemployed are added to the more than 10 million unemployed, with more than 140,000 businesses and companies closed, greater misery in the countryside, ruined by the FTAs, and an increase in the looting of natural resources, and new economic measures against the population, such as labor reform, new taxes, etc. This is the devastating panorama faced by the impoverished masses. This is what the people are facing when they go out to fight.
By making a surrender and giving-up pact with the bourgeoisie, imperialism and Castroism, the FARC leadership left their comrades abandoned in Colombian jails, more than 3,000 FARC members, according to official records: “4,500 subversives are imprisoned, of which 2,596 are convicted . Seven out of every ten (that is, about 2,700) were captured as members of the Farc, and the rest are ex-Eln, ex-Erp and ex-Epl ”. (SOURCE: EL TIEMPO By: JUSTICE DRAFTING April 9, 2020), These data do not include detainees from protests and clashes with state repressive bodies, according to the Information System on Aggressions to Social Protest (SIAP). Today and since the days of November 21, 2019, there are 345 detainees accused of vandalism and damage to other people's property and therefore they are not considered political prisoners, being captured in the midst of clashes and protests, which were more than 1000 detainees.
This is our reality that is not alien to the tragedy experienced by our brothers in Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, France, and worse still, the Palestinian and Syrian brothers who are rotting in the dungeons of the murderous Assad regime and imperialism.
Our call is to unify this campaign for the release of all political prisoners in the world, a call made by our class brothers from Las Heras and to which we do join, support and promote.
