December 12th: International Day of the Persecuted Worker
Greetings from Elena, mother of Alfon, a young man held as a political prisoner in the Spanish Bourbon Monarchy's dungeons
Hello, I am Elena, the mother of political prisoner Alfon, sentenced under a false accusation, a police, judicial and media frame-up, for his participation in the general strike of November 14, 2012.
From here, from Madrid in the Vallecas neighborhood, I want to address my comrades oil workers from Las Heras, unjustly convicted on December 12, 2013 for fighting for their rights, for fighting for the rights of the working class. Four of them were sentenced to life imprisonment, six of them to five years in prison and six of those sentenced, also, have spent three and a half years in preventive detention. All of them have suffered torture, threats and persecution since their arrest.
Today in the International Day of the Persecuted worker I want to show you all my solidarity and all my affection, all my support and all my appreciation. And I also want to send, of course, a big hug for your families, your friends, and your comrades of struggle.
I also want to ask you to keep strong and united because we are a lot fighting for your acquittal and we will not stop till achieving it. And for the freedom of all the political prisoners all over the world.
AN INJURE TO ONE, IS AN INJURE TO US ALL!
FIGHTING IS THE ONLY WAY! LONG LIVE THE WORKING-CLASS STRUGGLE!
