The workers of Siderar (ex SOMISA) send their warm greetings
to 7 years of the brutal sentence to life in prison
Hello comrades, my name is Fernando Legarreta. I am a dismissed delegate from Ternium-Siderar in San Nicolas, a UOM (Metaworkers Union) worker. Here I am with my comrades from Siderar. We wanted to send a big salutation and a big hug to all the oil workers comrades of Las Heras and the Commission of Families, on this new anniversary of their struggle. We wanted to send them a big hug, all the solidarity and our strength to continue fighting and to continue demanding the acquittal of the comrades.
For years, we lived the fight that the comrades carried out as our own. It is the fight that all workers have ahead against job precariousness, for the wages, for work, against that damn wage tax. It is the same fight that our comrades started years ago, the one that we live.
We are boiling with hatred and indignation seeing how they persecuted the comrades for fighting for their fair demands. They militarized the town, the city, in the best style of the military dictatorship, persecuting the workers, their families, breaking into houses with intelligence services, police, all on account of the imperialist oil companies, their State and their justice. It reminded us of the Videlaist military dictatorship. We also remember that here, the boss Rocca of the imperialist group Techint, also has a long record on these issues, making workers disappear in Siderca in the '70s. And the union bureaucrat, today a businessman, Naldo Brunelli and the Videlaist union bureaucracy of the UOM, also made lists for the dictatorship to kidnap our fellow workers in what, at that time, was SOMISA. So, we live that persecution of our comrades very closely and we also vibrate with their struggle.
On this new anniversary, more than ever, we wanted to send you a big hug with all the comrades who are here and those from Siderar, to redouble our efforts to fight for the acquittal of the comrades, because the way is for all the workers to join together national and international level to be able to take the comrades out from the claws of the bosses' justice, form them to be acquitted, and for the freedom of all the political prisoners of the world and also to make justice for all our martyrs killed by the bosses and their governments fighting for their demands.
A big hug to all the comrades and may December 12 be a day that serves to promote, more than ever, the unity of the working class ranks and fight for the acquittal of the comrades. A big hug, see you.
