December 12:
International Day of Struggle
for the Persecuted Worker
Alejandro Villarruel, a worker at the Río Santiago Shipyard, prosecuted for fighting in 2017
against the privatization of that Shipyard
“Good afternoon comrades. I send a huge greeting to the comrades of Las Heras, unwavering fighters who, in these last fourteen years, have faced everything. We send a big hug to our comrades. We continue fighting for their freedom and their acquittal. We say together with you: Cristina gave the order! We want to greet December 12 as the international day of struggle of persecuted workers.
I am Alejandro Villarruel, a worker at the Río Santiago Shipyard, a member of AvanzadaObrera - Lista Negra. I am indicted by the Macri government and its yellow judges for the fight against privatization. I also wanted to greet, on this day of struggle for the freedom of the comrades, to raise our voices for the freedom of comrade Sebastián Romero and the acquittal of Ruiz and Arakaki.
I wanted to raise our voices for the freedom of all our fellow prisoners throughout the continent, in Chile, in Colombia, in Ecuador and throughout Latin America where the workers and young people that fight end up in state prisons.
The fight for the freedom of the comrades is a fight of the entire world working class and the comrades of Las Heras know it well. We are not going to stop until the last of our companions is out on the street, free. And we are not going to stop, until all the scoundrels who have attacked our people and our comrades pay. Forjusticeforourmartyrs. Comrades, goodafternoon. "
