Statement of the COLECTIVO DEMOCRACIA OBRERA (Collective Worker’s Democracy) - Madrid
(FLTI-Fourth International)
Facing the call to make a rally “Syria-No War” at 12D in Madrid: it is not possible to be neutral with a holocaust and genocide
It is necessary to say "No to War" but IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO BE IMPARTIAL. It is necessary to point out the responsible ones: the counterrevolution of the neoliberal fascist Al Assad, and his allies, Putin, the Iranian Ayatollas and Hezbolah. They murder under the umbrella of United States, UN, EU and NATO, which together with the regional bourgeoisie and its instruments (ISIS) want to end the Syrian Revolution, a link of the Revolution through Maghreb and Middle East (from Tunisia to Egypt, Libya, Bahrain or Yemen).
It is not possible to be impartial. We must be with the revolutionary masses that rose for bread in 2011 and took up the weapons to defend themselves against the Assadist counterrevolution. In the the framework of the Revolution, it is necessary to support the exploited ones, because the bourgeois generals and leaders of the Free Syrian Army and Jabaht Fath al-Sham (ex Al Nusra), while sending the exploited to the frontline, they played the role of containing the Revolution so that it did not prevail. Now they have withdrawn to share the post-war cake with agreements with imperialism.
Only a revolutionary leadership of the war, with the working class at the front, can save the war, the Revolution and the international working class. If the revolution is defeated, the entire working class of the world will be in terrible conditions.
We must also expose the reformist left currents (Stalinist and social-imperialist) who are giving shameful support to the counter-revolution of Al Assad and are preventing from doing a necessary internationalist solidarity of the world left currents. They are also helping with the siege and slaughter in Syria.
FALSE NEUTRALITY
Being neutral in this war is to go to the surrender. There are two sides, one that slaughter the other who rose for bread and freedom. One side has planes, tanks, helicopters, artillery and 5 invading armies that kill. The other is the people who wanted bread, freedom and justice and have been killed for more than five years.
Under false neutrality, an anti-war movement cannot propose to disarm the oppressed ones. On the contrary, it is necessary to claim for belligerent army.
We must ask that Spain break relations with the Syrian ambassador. Solidarity is not to ask peace of the cemeteries but giving weapons and supplies to the resistance.
We must consider Al Assad as Franco of today and the rebels as the slaughter Republic. In Aleppo falls Madrid. The "neutrals" who propose only runners (corridors) and to give up are working for Al Assad-Franco.
UN now wants to do business with peace. More than asking corridors so the civilians of Aleppo can leave, those corridors should be done so that the 10 million refugees return to take their houses.
What they are burying under the rubble caused by the bombs are not only massacred bodies, they are also the seeds that must grow around the world in the form of internationalist solidarity. Long live the Syrian Revolution!
