From the Syrian resistance
From the Leon Sedov Brigade we adopt the statement of the paper The Truth of the Oppressed and the FLTI on the killing of the pig Qassem Soleimani at the hands of the vultures of US imperialism, with some changes that we have introduced when republishing it. Although the death of a disgusting tyrant always generates some sort of satisfaction in the hearts of those who had suffered the worst torments by him, we are fully aware that the death of the dog Soleimani by the hand of the biggest cruelest murderers of the planet, such as US imperialist bourgeoisie, will never bring any benefit for those who were under the whip of Soleimani and their actions under the command of the Iranian Ayatollah (US lackeys). On the contrary, it can only be useful for Soleimani to be replaced by an equal or worst pig, which will come back to keep on killing those fighting for a decent life, even if it is in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon or Iran itself.
January 5th 2020
On the US terrorist attack that killed Qassem Soleimani, the murderer of the oppressed in Middle East and the head of the “Iranian Revolutionary Guard” in Iraq
US IMPERIALIST BEAST WANTS TO BRING ORDER IN ITS IRAQI PROTECTORATE, WHICH IS DAMAGED AND IN CRISIS DUE TO THE STARVING MASSES' REVOLUTIONARY UPRISING
With the mass uprisings shaking Iraq, Algeria, Sudan and Lebanon, the Maghreb and Middle East is witnessing an ongoing second revolutionary wave. This disorganized and destabilized all the regimes and counterrevolutionary devices that had been used by imperialism to keep the region under control after the 2011-2012 revolutionary upheaval and the crushing of the revolutions in Syria, Libya, Egypt, etc.
The Astana-Geneva Conference, where all the counterrevolutionary agents were centralized under imperialism command to contain, sell out and smash the revolutionary processes of 2011 like in Syria, ended up as a blanket too small to suffocate the ongoing mass uprisings in the region. Moreover, US imperialism –as we will see below- has not yet conquered the necessary conditions to be able to intervene directly as it did in Iraq in the past, and Zionism is for now devoid of using its fire power too.
Before this imperialist crisis, the counterrevolutionary forces slaughtering in Syria directly, like Turkey, Russia and Iran, are trying to take off as Gendarmes in the region. Thus, Turkey is getting ready to intervene in Libya, waiting for EU approval, particularly Italy and France, to attack Heftar to secure Tripoli. On the other hand, Iran, which intends to play a key role in doing the imperialist powers “dirty work” in Iraq, was preparing a solution -with the pig Qasem Soleimani, head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard- to the crisis of the government caused by the overthrowing of Prime Minister in Bagdad due to the Iraqi revolution.
The Iranian is for US imperialism a hit-man despicable bourgeoisie, which it has fenced and under an embargo to secure their smashing the Iranian rebelled working class and looking after al-Assad in Damascus. The USA cannot allow them dare to get Iraq, namely, the oil reserves of the Mesopotamia.
By the terrorist action of attacking with their drones and killing the bloody Qasem Soleimani, among other high-rank officers of the Iranian Guard, US imperialism imposes a limit to its fascist lackey, while it wants the masses to believe once again that the US army is almighty and indestructible. This means to tell all the exploited in the Middle East that the US not only can destroy the Iranian guard, but also send Iraq, now ruined and in disarray after two imperialist invasions, which slaughtered over a million exploited, again to the Middle Ages.
Trump’s attack announces that, unless all their agents accept his discipline, he is willing to smash the colonial and semi-colonial peoples that the USA oppresses and plunders with its army, the most powerful of the world. His is a "scorched earth" policy and strategy. There is where the imperialist beast is heading to, whether through its agents, or with its own troops, whenever the situation allows it.
In the Maghreb and the Middle East, the two main classes clashing are the working class and imperialism
Ultimately, the Iranian bourgeoisie has been a praetorian guard smashing and massacring in Iraq on behalf of imperialism. They aim to play the same role they played in Syria against the revolution, in which the very Qassem Soleimani led the biggest massacres together with the regime of the dog Bashar. Among them, there’s the battle of Qsair where they ruthlessly killed those who lived in that town when they entered; the siege on Madaya, Zabadani and Moadhmia where children starved to death, as well as the historical battle of Aleppo, in which thousands of heroic martyrs of the Syrian revolution fell, our leaders Mustafa Abu Jumaa and Abu Al Baraa among them.
However the Shiite bourgeoisie is each time more incapable of stopping the revolution. The Iraqi masses set on fire the Iranian Consulate in Southern Iraq and occupied the Governorate Palace in that region. In Bagdad, the exploited are surrounding the Green Zone (a restrained and fortified area where there are the majority of the government buildings, the foreign embassies, etc). In Lebanon, the exploited struggle to overthrow Hezbollah, the Iranian theocracy’s partner. This means that this bourgeoisie can neither guarantee bourgeois order nor security to the imperialist companies in the region, not even where it rules.
This time the revolutionary wave hits directly against this murderers that act on behalf of imperialism, who have carried out the biggest genocide of the 21st Century in Syria, together with Putin and al-Assad.
The same happens with the Sunnite bourgeois, like the Saudi ones, who have invaded Yemen with 9 mercenary armies on behalf of the US imperialists for 5 years, but they cannot smash and defeat the heroic Yemeni revolution completely.
The revolution stands up again in the Middle East. The governments and regimes of the “7 Sisters” (oil imperialist companies) are in crisis. Native bourgeoisies run away or make pacts with imperialism, like hit-man and cowards, because they are more afraid of the masses' actions –which will also attack their property- than of imperialism, which sometimes whips them to impose its discipline or to remove them and place other direct agents. Morales, running away from Bolivia, hiding at night, due to the fascist putsch, proves what we are saying. The same happened with Saddam Hussein in 2003, who in the face of the US invasion ran away and hid underground without shooting a single bullet, while the Iraqi masses were dying and resisted heroically against imperialism, like in Fallujah.
We Trotskyists state that the USA and other imperialist powers are the greatest enemies of the peoples of the Maghreb, the Middle East and the entire world.
Under these conditions, the US cannot remain as the boss of the counterrevolution without intervening directly. We would like to warn our Iranian siblings in a state of revolt against the theocracy, and our Iraqi and Syrian siblings that the USA, in its next invasions and direct attacks, will treat them worse that the murderers of Teheran and Moscow. Our cities like Raqqa and Deir ez Zor prove this; they were destroyed by the US army and its mercenaries, who got the direct control of the oil fields in Northern Syria, after using ISIS as guardian dogs of US interests against the Syrian masses.
Let’s defeat imperialism and their lackeys! For the victory of the revolution!
The defeat of imperialism is in our hands. They are a powerful “army” that threatens to end with all the counterrevolutionary devices of the foreign powers in the region. They have the most powerful missile: the chance of expropriating without compensation all the imperialist oil companies such as Exxon, Chevron, BP, Shell, ENI, Total. This is the way to smash imperialism. This power is at hands of the working class from the Maghreb and the Middle East and their biggest allies, the working class of the imperialist powers who, like in the US, are marching on the streets shouting “The enemy is at home!”
The American working class, together with the Iraqi masses, imposed the withdrawal of 150 thousand men of the imperialist powers from Iraq in 2008. The masses paralyzed Zionism’s fire power in the entire Middle East. Imperialism knows that if they use the ground aircraft carrier, namely the Zionist fascist state of Israel, to attack the rebelled peoples, the latter will get together to smash the Zionist beast.
We Trotskyists state that the most powerful armies of imperialism are the treacherous leaderships that support the bourgeois governments, murderers and lackeys of imperialism. They and the native bourgeoisies prevent the coordination and centralization of a generalized Intifada in the entire Middle East to hit Paris, New York, Athens and all the imperialist metropolis, together with their allies, the working classes of the ruling powers.
We call the revolutionary masses of the Maghreb and the Middle East not to stop their revolution for a second so to smash all the governments, regimes and invading troops, which are nothing but guardians, some of them working and others now disgraced, of the imperialist oil companies.
We call the Iranian masses to deepen their war cry against the theocratic millionaire bourgeoisie, demanding the withdrawing of their fascist troops from Iraq and Syria. The more the bourgeoisie smashes and massacres in the Middle East, the more the Iranian nation is exposed to an imperialist invasion, as it happened in Iraq.
We call the Iraqi masses to keep on fighting to destroy and defeat the regime of the US protectorate, its fake parliament, supported by the Sunnite, Shiite and Kurdish bourgeoisies. We call them to occupy Bagdad’s Green Zone, to keep on with their struggle against the gangs of the Iranian theocracy, who have killed over 400 exploited who rebelled in the Shiite, Sunnite and Kurdish areas of Iraq.
We call them to occupy the oil wells and imperialist banks. We call all the forces and militias who want to smash imperialism in Iraq to give their weapons to the Iraqi people unconditionally.
The conquering of a National Iraqi Assembly, fully democratic, revolutionary and sovereign will be only guaranteed by expelling all imperialist powers from Iraq and the region, with the people armed and setting up a provisional revolutionary government of the working and peasant masses.
We Trotskyists call the Turkish working class to rebel and stop Erdogan’s invasion to Libya, where the Qaddafist bourgeoisie has returned, supported by the EU in Tripoli and the US in Benghazi, who were in charge of human trafficking of black slaves to Maastricht imperialist Europe..
We call the Turkish workers to face the murderous and expansionist government of Erdogan, the executioner of the Kurdish people in Turkey and which has created a bourgeois officer caste under his command in Syria, as head of the FSA. They have surrendered the rebel cities to al-Assad one by one, with whom they have created a common army, which is attacking Idlib today.
We Trotskyists call for the broadest solidarity with the revolutionary masses of Idlib and Syria, which has been divided and destroyed by the US, Turkey and Russia, based on the fascist mercenary troops of al-Assad and the Iranian Guard.
The masses of the entire Maghreb and Middle East must look themselves in the mirror of the bloody and occupied Syria. As we have said, US imperialist’s policy is currently one of “scorched earth” to keep their dominance and plunder. A fierce offensive on their “backyard” (Latin America) has joined this policy. Wall Street imperialist pirates, like the ones of imperialist Europe, are making their working classes and the oppressed peoples of the world pay for their crisis. This proves that the true “trade war” between imperialist powers is mainly and in the first place a war against the masses.
As we have said, the coward native bourgeoisies are “brave” to massacre their people, but they kneel before the imperialist masters when the latter toughen their policies and with their cannons defend their businesses. We can see the “brave” Chinese bourgeoisie, admired by the reformist left, just telling diplomatically US imperialism “not to overkill" with its counterrevolutionary blows in the Maghreb and the Middle East. They are councilors to the US imperialists to whom they have surrendered the Chinese bank system.
The butcher Putin, also admired by the reformist left, has stated that he supports Iran, in order to keep massacring together the revolution in the Maghreb and the Middle East. They defend their role as hit-men against the masses. They will never attack –not even by mistake- the imperialist troops that control the region and even their border with Ukraine with NATO. They support the Zionist-fascist state of Israel, which bombs Gaza, tormenting the Palestinian nation, as they are doing with the Syrian masses today.
The workers and peoples of the world cannot allow the massacre and extermination of Gaza and Idlib to continue! They cannot allow Macron and the French imperialist bourgeoisie to attack and strip the working class of their conquests! They must confront US imperialism that commanded the fascist putsch in Bolivia, and is threatening with drowning Latin America in blood!
.
In order to fight against imperialism, its wars and counterrevolutionary coups, the working class and their allies, the poor popular sectors, must break any tie with the bourgeoisie who call themselves “democratic” or “progressive” and pretend to be anti-imperialist. The working class must conquer the international unity of their combats and smash the imperialist beast that is ready –with its native partners- to throw new counterrevolutionary attacks like in Hong Kong and other revolutionary focus in the planet.
Our big allies, the US and European working classes, will not allow –as they did not in Vietnam and later Iraq- new counterrevolutionary offensives of their own imperialism. The enemy is at home! Out with imperialism from the Maghreb and the Middle East!
We socialist revolutionaries, who even fight in the last trench of the Syrian revolution, are willing to join anybody who is ready to raise their rifle to fight against imperialism. That is why we call not to put it down and fight fiercely against all the bourgeois gangs of the Middle East, which keep based in agreements with imperialism and massacring their own people. The time for socialist revolution has come!
Let’s stop the war machine of imperialism in its own land and expropriate its banks and oil companies with which it plunders the Middle East!
The peoples want the fall of the regimes of the capitalists and the parasites!
For the working class to live, imperialism must die!
For the Socialists United States of the Maghreb and the Middle East!
Leon Sedov Brigade
In the battlefield, two theories, two programs and two strategies are facing each other:
Trotskyism vs. Stalinism
When we were finishing to write this statement, the Democratic Party of the US Imperialist butchers, in the middle of the US electoral campaign, is criticizing Trump for his utilizing the strike on Iran electorally. It goes without saying that he will always do that for keeping his reactionary social base fidelity, though this does not add anything new to the question. The United front of the US Imperialist bandits is always monolithically in agreement when it is about smashing the masses.
World reformist left, even militarily aligned against the imperialist attack in Iraq, have also aligned politically with the Iranian millionaire clergies. This is not by chance. These currents have long submitted to the Iranian bourgeoisie. They have joined their trench in the Syrian revolution. Just as they support the “Bolivarian” bourgeoisies in Latin America, which are a bunch of cowards and sellouts that have kneeled before the US for ages. That is why Stalinism considers that the struggle must be fought in a block with the “progressive” bourgeoisie to defeat imperialism.
Contrariwise, for us Trotskyists, the struggle is class against class. We are willing to take steps of military action unity with anyone who attacks imperialism and its interests. But we call the working class to march separately, since only they and their allies, poor peasants and ruined middle class, can solve the tasks of national liberation and conquer the land. In order to achieve those tasks they must expropriate capitalists and move towards the socialist revolution.
Once again in the battlefield, two theories, two programs and two strategies are face to face. On one hand Trotskyism, revolutionary Marxism of our time, and on the other hand Stalinism, currently also supported by those who surrendered and liquidated the 4th International.
The working class of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Algeria need a revolutionary leadership, i.e. the 1938’s 4th International to lead the revolutions they have started to victory. And the workers of the world need to recover militant internationalism to defeat the imperialist beast and save civilization from barbarism.
