Emergency Appeal
Let's put all the strength of the feminist movement at the service of the struggle to free the prisoners for fighting...
COORDINATION COMMITTEE NOW!!
Together with all workers, student and Human Rights organizations
Wives of the imprisoned former bus drivers of East Line
With layoffs, salaries of hunger, inflation, persecuted and prisoners, the government at the service of the IMF, with its judges and prosecutors, attacked the workers and their families fiercely. This blow affects the hearts of working families and, especially, the women of the working class who are the ones who face the suffering, struggle to bring food every day to the table and, above all, the State imprisons their husbands for fighting for better working conditions, as it does today with the wives of East Line bus drivers who are imprisoned for fighting for a bathroom in their workplace and against being overexploited or as comrades the oil workers of Santa Cruz, Vibares, Armoa and Oñate, who were judged for fighting and on April 29 await the sentence.
This situation cannot continue any longer. Working women, together with all the workers, are enduring unemployment, misery and repression, imprisonment and persecution to those who fight for what belongs to us. WE ARE ALL THE WIVES OF THE BUS DRIVERS OF EAST LINE, OF THE OIL WORKERS OF SANTA CRUZ, DANIEL RUIZ’S SISTERS, FAMILY OF FACUNDO JONES HUALA, COMRADES OF ANAHI!
Just as we struggled and fought together for safe legal free abortion, the separation of the Church from the State and against femicides, today we have to surround the comrades who fight for the freedom of their husbands, their mothers, their brothers or of themselves. Today once again we have to shout AN INJURY TO ONE IS AN INJURY TO ALL!
We have to unite our demands with those of all the sectors that are struggling and are being persecuted, repressed and imprisoned. This is the same fight against the State, which is stained with the blood of Santiago and Rafa, with the blood of Teresa Rodríguez, Aníbal Verón, Kostequi and Santillán and thousands of comrades killed by the repressive forces. THEY ARE OUR MARTYRS!
This May Day we return to the tradition of struggle of our class, facing worldwide capitalists’ attack, over the borders. THIS MAY DAY LET’S STAND UP INTERNATIONALLY FOR THE FREEDOM OF ALL THE PRISONERS FOR FIGHTING!
We call on the entire feminist movement, workers' organizations, militant students and human rights organizations not to leave them alone and to unify our forces. We cannot fight for our rights while the employers and the government, with the full complicity of union bureaucracy, held prisoners and prosecuted our comrades. Let's set up a true Coordination Committee to free the comrades.
We cannot waste another minute. Every day they spend prisoners in the claws of the State is another day of tearing families and comrades apart! With our comrades as hostages in state prisons, we will not be able to fight for our demands!
This bulletin is at the service of unifying the comrades who are fighting, and in it we reproduce their voices in different reports, where they show we are all attacked by the same enemy, and we must fight together to face it.
