March 30, Land Day, was first recorded in history in 1976, when during a massive popular uprising in occupied Palestine that faced land confiscation and expropriation at the hands of the Zionist state, six Palestinians were killed. That day, during a general strike against the repression and dispossession of the lands, these six Palestinian fighters have recorded their names as martyrs of the Palestinian cause: Kheir Mohammad Salim Yasin, Khadija Qasem Shawahneh, Raja Hussein Abu Rayya, Khader Eid Mahmoud Khalayleh , Muhsin Hasan Said Taha and Raafat Ali Al-Zheiri, were killed while marching to defend their land.
Today, in besieged Gaza and the occupied West Bank and Palestine, tens of thousands of protesters rose once again in a massive march commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Earth Day. The demonstration was massive, with hundreds of thousands of Palestinians marching to the checkpoints and surveillance posts that Zionism has on the borders of the Gaza Strip.
Once again the Zionist fascist state of Israel with its army that was stationed on the checkpoints, opened fire with lead bullets, shooting at the Palestinians who were mobilizing.
The first martyr of the day was the Palestinian farmer Omar Samour, his name, along with the other 16 murdered yesterday by the fascist army of Israel, Naji Abu Hajir, Mohammed Kamal Al-Najjar, Wahid Nasrallah Abu Samour, Mahmoud Muammar, Amin Mansour Abu Muammar, Mohammed Naeem Abu Amr, Ahmed Ibrahim Ashour Odeh, Jihad Ahmed Fraina, Mahmoud Saadi Rahmi, Abdel Fattah Abdel Nabi, Ibrahim Salah Abu Shaar, Abd al-Qader Marhi al-Hawajri, Sari Walid Abu Odeh, Hamdan Ismail Abu Amsha, Jihad Zuhair Abu Jamous and Bader al-Sabbagh, are also inscribed in the history of the martyrs of the Palestinian cause.
Forty-two years later, this Land Day, there are 17 Palestinian fighters killed and that number could increase because there are more than 1400 injured, many of whom are in a serious condition. It is a real massacre, the most dead and wounded in a single day since the operation "Protective Margin" when Zionism bombed Gaza in 2014.
At the same time that the genocide on the Syrian people advances, while the Yemeni masses are massacred by the Saudi clan and Al Sisi’s dictatorship keeps repressing and imprisoning tens of thousands of fighters in Egypt, the Zionist-fascist state of Israel recovers firepower in the region. Therefore Trump launched an attack on the Palestinian nation declaring Jerusalem as the capital city of the Zionist state, which he plans in making it happen in May this year.
The brave Palestinian people rose in an intifada, despite and against the Arab bourgeoisie that has already declared that it would accept the “two state” solution and tried to stop this offensive and couldn’t do it. Because the Palestinian masses don’t accept neither the borders of 1967 nor 1948 nor being kneeled to the UN or the talks with the Israel state made by the Palestinian Authority to live together with it, and they don’t accept either the “peace talks” in Egypt made by Hamas leadership. The Palestinian masses fight and die to recover their nation, to stop being outcasts in their own land, confined in ghettoes, and to recover their homes and bread that were and are taken away from them by the Zionist occupier every day.
Therefore, surpassing the leaderships of Al Fatah and Hamas, the masses set up local committees and started in this Land Day a plan of fight that will last up to May 15th, the day of the “Nakba” (“the catastrophe”, when the Palestinian masses in 1948 were expelled from their land by Zionism).
Zionism responded attacking once again the Gaza strip, while the settlers advance in the occupation of Lands in the West Bank.
Today, while the fascist Al Assad and the murderer Putin, under US command, want to drown the last trenches of the Syrian revolution in blood, Zionism recovers its firepower and launches a brutal attack on the Palestinian masses, and together with Trump they launched an ultimatum: “either you surrender or Gaza and the West Bank will become a new Homs, Ghouta, Douma or Aleppo, turned into ashes”.
The more the fascist Al Assad massacred the Syrian revolution while looking after the Golan Heights to the fascist Israel state (which were given away by his father), the more Zionism recovered its firepower, and today it shot the Palestinian masses in Gaza.
US imperialism, throughout Trump, besides declaring that he will recognize Jerusalem as the capital city of the Zionist state, has declared the fascist dog of Damascus, Al Assad, and Putin (who was congratulated for its victory in the fraud presidential elections in no time) to end up crushing the Syrian revolution.
Once again, the Palestinian masses have risen today in a general strike in Gaza and in the West Bank, condemning the brutal massacre of Zionism. Tens of demonstrations are happening all across Palestine. In Hebron, once again the Zionist occupier charged against a concentration of Palestinian.
The intifada turns into rebellion; and the rebellion starts an insurrection. It is time for it to begin!
The people in Gaza, a besieged city and with a large demographic growth, is starving. This is the engine of its struggle to recover the land and expel the invader Zionist troops.
The Palestinian masses in its uprising, as they strive to break the ghettoes managed by its own bourgeoisie, refuse to accept the “two state” solution of the UN, which was endorsed by all the Arab bourgeoisies and the world reformist left and meant the loss of 80% of their nation’s territory.
