A present for the condemned workers of Las Heras on the part of Shireen Issawi from the zionist fascist dungeons
Shireen Issawi sent a present to the Condemned Las Heras workers, handicrafts, for all the work and constant struggle they have been carried out for the freedom of the world political prisoners, especially for her freedom, for her brothers: Medhat and Samer Issawi and the more than 7000 Palestinian prisoners.
I say goodbye to Tareq and Leila, Shireen, Medhat and Samer Issawi’s parents and they tell me that next time they expect I can stay with them 3 or 4 days and “then we will see if you continue to the West Bank”. They thank us for the work we are carrying out, for the telephone calls from the distance, for the unconditional support and to be always present with them.
The house located at the end of the Issawiya neighborhood (East Jerusalem) has a beautiful garden, I see Tareq take care it very carefully. I went out for a moment and Tareq came with me. He said he misses his sons and daughter a lot, but especially he misses Shireen and expects to have good news in the tribunal session on December 24 “at least, to have a date for her release” . She has already passed two years in jail. Without doubt Shireen was the soul of the house and his absence is felt.
Leila Issawi, the mother, makes better, doctors said that her “problem” is stress but Tareq sensibly says: “She cannot against this, she is MOTHER above all”. Both yearn for December 24 or the next Court session dated for middle January. According to the law, she should be sentenced because it is fulfilled two years of the administrative detention, but as Tareq clarifies: “with them one never knows what can happen”.
They and Medhat’s wife are the only ones that can visit them, their brothers cannot visit them. Every week, they travel 4 or 5 hours by bus to reach the prison; for each prison (Shireen, in another Medhat and Sammer) located in the occupied Palestine, apart from the disagreeable checking in the check points of jails, besides the wait till they take the detained fighters so that their family can see them- most of the time the wait is for hours-. This is an example of what this family experiences to visit their sons and beloved ones in jail.
They said they always tell them, especially Shireen, about the things we do, and my visit here: “Shireen has sent you some gifts made with her own hands in the prison. You cannot imagine what good handicrafts she makes”. I got surprised but at the same time I was moved. “It’s a honor to be able to fight with you. The honor is for us. Without the unity of all of us, the freedom will be more difficult”.
I took some scarves and kerchief for them ( Samer, Medhat and Shireen). I wrote quickly a note to thank them the gifts and telling them I will give them to those who fight side by side them, who fight for the freedom of all the world prisoners, to the condemned Las Heras workers (Argentina) and they will keep in their hearts for ever.
I hugged strongly both expressing my gratitude for everything and for opening the doors of their house and hearts expecting to return very soon to Palestine but that time with Shireen already in her home and free.
