We are witnessing the Trial-Scam against Independentism by the Justice of the monarchical Regime. After applying article 155, staging a true coup d'etat against the republican struggle in Catalonia and after imprisoning independence leaders, today with the trial-scam the King and his justice wants to punish all the Catalan people who fought for its independence.

In the autumn of 2017 we saw that the leaders of the parties of the Catalan bourgeoisie (PDeCat and ERC) preferred to go into exile or jail before proclaiming the independence that the 1-O ballot boxes had decided in spite of the police monarchical regime. The Spanish bourgeoisie and all its agents want its partners in the Catalan bourgeoisie, with whom they have never stopped doing business, to kneel even more.
It has been proven that for the Catalan bourgeoisie independence means doing better business and bargaining a bigger slice of it from the bourgeoisie of the Spanish state. On the other hand, for the working class and the oppressed Catalan people, independence means getting rid of the parasitic monarchy and the entire financial oligarchy and having a decent job and a decent life.
The 155 coup d'etat against Catalonia has been going on for over a year. Now with its judges, servants of the Bourbons, they mount a trial so that all the workers and the Catalan people who won in the streets last 1-O the right to their independence stop fighting. We cannot allow it!
If the regime of 78 with the Monarchy, its repressive forces and its caste of judges are strengthened in Catalonia, then it will attack the workers all over the Spanish state to take away all our conquests.

The opinion of the ballot boxes on 1-O and the struggle in the streets of the Catalan people can only be carried out by the working class of Catalonia along with the ones of the Spanish state, leading the struggle in alliance with the poor middle classes.

Podemos and SCP-UL, the left wing of the Crown, deepens its policy of isolating Catalan workers

Unfortunately, the leaders of the working class, the union bureaucracies and the parties of the reformist left have expropriated the heroic struggle of the Spanish people who threatened the monarchy in 2011 occupying the squares of the big cities. Since then until now, Podemos, the PCE-IU and the ex-Trotskyists of Anticapitalists, the left wing of the Crown, have acted as if with the self-reformed monarchy we could eat, have work and freedom.
The "new left" of Unidos Podemos, which for nine months has been carrying on its shoulders the government of Pedro Sanchez (PSOE), with Pablo Iglesias acting as King’s "minister without portfolio", has deepened its policy of isolating workers and the Catalan people of the rest of the Spanish State to kneel before the King and renounce their struggle to crush the Monarchy in Catalonia and the rest of the state. Unidos Podemos betrayed the movement of the indignant -of whom they called themselves heirs- and now they have also surrendered the independence struggle of the Catalan people. When the PP ruled, they raised the white flag of "neutrality" when the repressive forces of the King's regime crushed the uprisings in Catalonia. And "co-governing" with the PSOE, Unidos Podemos have guaranteed open support for the monarchy to defeat the Catalans, advising the Catalans to "negotiate" to put them in the system and thus defeat them at the end better.
Today, unfortunately the working class of the Spanish state is divided. The monarchy is strong and robs the Catalan people the right to decide their destiny.

CCOO and UGT trade union bureaucracy break the unity of the Catalan working class and the rest of the state

CCOO and UGT bureaucracy tied the hands of the working class to fight: on October 3, 2017 and February 21, 2019, they refused to support the general strikes called by the alternative minority trade unionism. A mass strike could have swept away the monarchy of Catalonia and the rest of the state. But, of course, CCOO and UGT have been since beginning in the monarchical regime’s side and against the right of the Catalan people to become independent. CCOO and UGT union bureaucracy have boycotted the calls, aligning with Spanish nationalism, and Podemos and the SCP-UL also aligned with the boycotters of the strike and Referendum, covering, as always, the left flank of the 1978 regime. .
Those who betrayed the masses in the street during the Transition after Franco’s death are surrendering the working class before the Crown against the independence of Catalonia and delivering the struggle of the Catalan people to the King's Regime. The parasites of the monarchy of the Bourbons, heads of the financial and imperialist capital of the Spanish State, will never allow even the right to the Catalan people to decide their destiny, as has already been demonstrated.
In order to have the right to decide the traitorous union bureaucracy of UGT and CCOO had to be confronted. They were in charge of dividing the working class to submit it to the bourgeoisie. Such confrontation could only be done by the working class united to their class siblings of the state Spanish and Europe.
We insist, there is no way to fight for the right to self-determination of Catalonia separated from the fight of all the workers of the Spanish state for defeating the monarchy, dissolving its courts, and start the struggle to recover the salary, jobs and housing that were stolen.
Out with the collaborationist CCOO and UGT trade union bureaucracy! For a pact of the working class and the exploited sectors of the entire Spanish state for the crisis to be paid by capitalists, bankers, partners of Wall Street and all the imperialist parasites!

There is plenty of money to meet all the exploited’s demands:
Expropriation without compensation and under workers’ control of the banks! Immediate expropriation of all unoccupied dwellings and the property of large urban landowners to provide a roof for every exploited! Distribution of working hours among all workers, with a minimum wage of € 1,500! Down with the labour reforms of the PSOE-PP! For decent pensions! Down with the Immigration Law!

The only government that can be capable of defeating the Bourbons and guaranteeing the expropriation without compensation and under workers' control of the banks and transnationals is a provisional government of the workers' organizations and the poor peasants, a government supported by the workers' councils and privates committees.
Only the triumph of the socialist revolution can solve fully and effectively the democratic-revolutionary tasks that the decadent bourgeoisie can no longer fulfill in this imperialist epoch, such as national liberation. Moreover, only the working class in power can effectively grant the full right to national self-determination -including the right of separation- to the oppressed nationalities that did not become a nation state before the advent of imperialism. The national question was, is and will be, then, a fundamental trigger of the international proletarian revolution. The resolution of this national question through the right of the Catalans to their Independence is a necessary requirement towards the Free Federation of Socialist Republics of the Iberian Peninsula that will only have a future over the ruins of the Maastricht Europe together with the European working class building the Socialist United States of Europe.
In order for the Catalan people to have the right to decide, it is necessary to throw down the parasitic monarchy of the Bourbons and the regime of the constitution of 78, inherited from the Franco regime.

The struggle of the Catalan people is the struggle of the working class of the entire Spanish state and of Europe

We need to fight together with our class siblings from all over Europe, to whom the different imperialist rulers have stolen their conquests from: namely their jobs, their salaries and the bread for their children. The leaderships of the European proletariat, from the social democracy and Stalinism of the PCs to the renegades of Trotskyism, many of them called "anti-capitalists", proclaimed their struggle for a more social European Union, as if the Maastricht of the European powers could be socialized and their imperialist gangs, while the imperialisms made workers pay the crisis.
Today, the unity of the working class of the imperialist powers with their class siblings of the semi-colonies is at the top of the agenda. In Europe the revolutionary combat enters directly, with thousands of Algerians, who are part of the French working class, while the Yellow Vests are fighting against Macron government’s attacks on the working class, or the exploited ones of Hungary, Romania and Germany.
We must get rid of the treacherous leaderships that systematically prevent unity. The first blow for this was given by the Yellow Vests, organizing themselves out of the union bureaucracies and the reformist parties spheres, taking to the streets a revolutionary struggle despite and against them. Now, the Algerian masses are hitting, doing what these leaderships have always wanted to avoid, bringing the Maghreb and Middle East revolutions to the streets of Paris. It has been concentrated in France. Paris has become the capital of the European and Middle Eastern revolution!

Open the road to the European working class; those are the forces to face the parasitic monarchy of the Bourbons and all the imperialist governments of the European Union! Let’s destroy the imperialist Europe of Maastricht to its foundations and build over its ruins the United States Socialists of Europe!
From autumn 2017 to the Trial-Scam of 2019: Patriotism takes to the streets and must be answered with Self-Defence Committees
In this context of trade union bureaucracy and the reformist left betrayals and of the surrender of the parties of the Catalan bourgeoisie, it has as a colophon that Spanishism inoculates in the working class of the Spanish state a patriotic sentiment reflected from the 1-O to the present in the national flags hung on the balconies of the neighborhoods of our cities. This is accompanied by attacks and graffiti on local left parties and unions by the far right. In the same autumn of 2017 Spanish marches were held in Catalonia with national flags in the center of Barcelona. And in the Valencian dyad a group of fascists appeared, among whom were Spain 2000, who attacked with impunity.
And, now in February 2019, a few days before the start of the trial-scam of the Catalan independence movement, the three rights of the PP, Ciudadanos and Vox dared to fill the Plaza de Colón in Madrid in defence of the regime and its King. In that concentration fascist groups such as La Falange, Social Home Madrid, National Democracy, etc., made appeared with their Francoist flags and anti-Catalan and xenophobic cries.
The King's regime takes those patriotic marches to the streets and camouflages fascists by committing crimes without any punishment, while keeping more over 400 Basques imprisoned, while Alfon has been in prison for more than three years for fighting for workers’ rights during a strike general, while hundreds of fighters are prosecuted and even musicians for singing against the parasites of the Crown. Meanwhile, it continues to free the fascists of Spanish Falange, National Democracy, Social Home Madrid and Spain 2000 among others.

Obviously, the police and the judges of the regime are not going to defend the fighters or union or left parties’ offices. We must crush the fascists by ourselves. To face the murderous, jailer and repressive state, and also the fascist gangs that attack the workers and their families: self-defence committees of the working class and youth! It must be organized now from the unions and the organizations of struggle in all the Spanish State!

Let’s learn from what Trotsky said in the 30s speaking about the Catalan question, about what was necessary:
"... They must agitate (through their own organizations and through the  Workers Alliance) for the proclamation of the independent  republic of Catalonia and must demand, in order to guarantee it,  the immediate arming of the whole people. They should not wait  for the government to arm them but begin immediately to form  workers’ militias which then should not only demand better  equipment from the government but must obtain it by disarming  the reactionaries and the fascists. The proletariat must prove to the Catalan masses that it has a sincere interest in the defense of Catalan independence. Here will lie the decisive path toward the conquest of the leadership in the struggle of all the strata, prepared for the defense of the city and the country. The arming of the people must become the center of our agitation in coming weeks around the slogans of: No stoppage of wages: the government and the employers must bear the cost of equipment and supplies. The existing military forces must be enrolled as instructors in the formation of the militia. The officers shall be elected by the members of the militia. The base of the militia is the factory. The workers in large industries, the railroads, etc., and all the public utilities shall automatically become part of the militia. Most of the people shall be asked to join up. Every regiment elects its committee which for its part sends a representative to the central committee of all the divisions of the Catalan militia. The central committee (i.e., the central soviet) functions as the political state, but first and foremost as the controlling body and later as the central authority for supplying and  equipping the forces. In achieving this task, it will have to become [transformed] from a body alongside of the government into, properly speaking, the government itself. This is the form and concrete development of soviets in the present situation in Catalonia.
