In Donbass, the miners' movement of hundreds of thousands of workers defend their jobs against privatization plan of EU and IMF. In Kiev and throughout Ukraine, workers have stood up against high cost of living, while 3 or 4 oligarchs, together with imperialism, steal the wealth from plundering Ukraine.
Today, for many exploited have recalled in their conscience and their battle cry demand "let’s USSR return”.
The hungry masses of Ukraine see two paths: either lose their jobs, due to the privatization plan and submission of the Ukrainian nation to the IMF and the EU, and migrate as outcasts to Europe and the world; or stay at home with wages of 200 euros, which are the lowest in Europe, similar to the ones in Africa, China, Bangladesh, etc.
In Donbass, the working class has grouped together. From Kiev, the masses have refused to be recruited into the army of the semi-fascist government of Poroshenko, seeking to smash the miners who resisted heroically.
In late April, Putin, Merkel and Obama signed Minsk agreements in order to disarm the masses of Donbass, and to give time for the government troops of Poroshenko to arm themselves supervised by NATO, who failed to achieve this aim to take Donbass and in key sectors were heavily defeated. TheMinsk agreement came to guarantee that after the progress of the masses of Donbass, they do not join with the workers of Kiev and the entire Ukraine.
The Communist Parties of Europe traveled to "support" the masses that yearn to win the war against the fascist troops of Kiev and "return to the USSR". Such a paradox! These are the same political parties that sold out the USSR to Citibank. The old hierarchies are now the great bourgeoisie of the whole Eastern Europe and Russia, partners of the City of London and the EU. The old nomenclature is the new oligarchy that controls along imperialism, most Ukrainian companies.
In May, the Communist Parties went to Donbass where they held an "Anti-Fascism, Internationalism, Solidarity Forum ".
The forum was going to be held in Lugansk, but the local government, stating "security concerns against possible fascists attacks" sent the forum to meet in the city of Alchevsk.
In this city, it is the heart of the Brigade Ghost, one of the most militant battalions of Donbass, there are 3,000 mine workers. The name is due to the members were always presumed to be dead and defeated but they reappear "like a ghost" in the advanced against the fascist brigades sent by Poroshenko. One of the examples that show why this brigade has so much authority among the exploited of the Donbass, it is because their fighters were one of the central battalions that were in advanced when Dabaltsevo, a strategic city that earlier this year the masses of the Donbass conquered to have a territorial continuity between the cities of Donetsk and Lugansk and be able to perform transit of goods through the railway. |

The participants of this “Forum” went to Alchevsk. They were gathered there on May 8. There were representatives of French, Italian, German, Spanish among many others Communist Party. It was there Antarsya from Greece, where the renegade of Trotskyim SWP (UK-9 and NPA (France) are part of it, and the warm greetings of the Greek EEK, sister group of the PO / FIT in Argentina, who sorrowed "not being able to be present at that meeting of internationalist Communists". Many forces were there to enforce, as their document poses, the counterrevolutionary pact of Minsk. This agreement means disarming the militias of the Donbass mine workers . So, brhind a "anti-fascism", "democracy" and "peace” language, they support the bourgeoisie of Donbass and Putin, acting as a true fifth column of counterrevolutionary government of Kiev.
This meeting was devoted to expose the old policy of class collaboration, under the form of an "anti-fascist front" which did not call to face or challenge the leadership of the war to the bourgeoisie of Donbass. It was a "Forum" did not state a strategy to win the war, which is not other than to expropriate the bourgeoisie and oligarchs of Donbass. This would be an electric shock to finish to stand up the masses of Kiev and the entire Ukraine and to move from the ground to the Russian working class, which is now under the heel of butcher Putin.
In this meeting of the old Stalinist parties, called "anti-fascist forum," it did not face the "democratic imperialism" of Obama, who commands by NATO and the fascist troops of Kiev to smash Donbass.
This "Forum" openly opposed the unity of the Ukrainian working class -from east and west- against imperialism and cover up the pillage of Crimea of Putin.
A few days after that meeting, the Commander Alexey Mozgovoi of Ghost Brigade were ambushed and killed, and his secretary and two fighters of this brigade.
Nobody explains what happened but it is more than clear Minsk that this was a military attack that beheaded one of the Brigades with more legitimization in the region facing the pact.
The aim was to impose a critical mass disarmament, in particular the mine workers militias. Its leaders as Mozgovoi had argued that their fight was against the fascists of Kiev and not against the workers and the masses of the region and fought to join them. They claimed that their real enemies were the oligarchs as Yanukovych, the Russian bourgeoisie and even the bourgeois themselves trying to control the masses of Donbass from local governments. All this was what Mozgovoi denounced and the entirel Ghost Brigade.
The social imperialist parties and labor organizations influenced by the renegades of Trotskyism which make meetings around the world, silent and silenced the Ukrainian question and the imperialist offensive that has left Lugansk, Donetsk, etc. as partially destroyed cities for the bombs, as happened with Gaza, or as Homs and Aleppo in Syria. They have left the role to "defend Donbass" to their Stalinist allies, who yesterday sold out the USSR. This is the "new left" where each of them plays their role to strangle the struggles of the masses.
From this "Forum" of Stalinists, it was called to "repudiate the murder of Mozgovoi". But in their statement on May 26, posed: "Today we try to understand what happened and how to proceed We are sure there will be much discussion and debate."
Why not being clear about it? What do they need to understand? Commander Mozgovoi was killed by the fifth column, their allies in the "anti-fascist front" of the bourgeoisie of Donbass and the butcher and murderer Putin to impose Minsk agreement that this "Forum" defends.
The revolutionary socialists of FLTI call to a strong statement condemning the murder of the commander Mozgovoi. The fight for the trial and punishment of their murderers is inseparable from the struggle against the Minsk agreements, which is a task of the whole Ukrainian, European and world working class.
Justice for the murdered of the commander Mozgovoi and the fighters, it is necessary to break with the bourgeoisie of the Donbass and, as the commander said, with the oligarchs of Russia, Kiev, Donbass and the region.
To do justice with the commander Mozgovoi it is necessary to break with Minsk agreements that establish the need for a regular army, with a bourgeois officer at their head, in Donbass. That is, to disarm the masses. The bourgeoisie of Donbass and the Russian oligarchy will have no problem to privatize the mines, lay off thousands of miner workers and associated with the imperialist banks to control them. Therefore, with the aim to disarm the masses, from the bowels of the bourgeois officers of Donbass will emerge general as counterrevolutionaries as the ones who are in the army of Kiev.
