GREECE– July 3, 2015
July 5 plebiscite is a new trap against the Greek workers and suffering exploited people
-With the “YES” of the Bundesbank, Merkel and the EU, there will be saved the Greek bankers, ship-owners and transnationals, which are pulling their crisis and larceny over the workers and poor people.
- Syriza’s “NO” is a smokescreen. With the wink of the IMF and Obama... it also deepens the retrenchment that is already applied by the Government against the workers. "Memos" from Syriza already accept the same rescue plan of Merkel and the Greek financial capital, which is a partner to the EU and Wall Street.
With both Yes and NO, those who pay the bankers and transnational corporations’ crisis are the Greek and European working class.
What are the formers discussing among them? How much they can trim off retirement, wages, work, health and life before the workers until they openly resume the path of revolution. They discuss whether today's conditions allow for removing from the exploited one or two fingers or directly a whole hand
Neither Yes, nor NO! May the power of the working class be already standing!
The imperialist gangs from France, Germany and England require from their Greek partners they attack the working class all the way.
Syriza proposes to go slower: instead of increasing the VAT to all foods, keep some exceptions; rather than respect the maturity of debt, postpone them for a bit; rather than putting retirees’ contribution to the health insurance in 6%, let it be 5%; instead of the retirement age being increased right now, let it be from January 2016.
Meanwhile, the Government of Syriza has already repaid 7.5 billion euros of the debt, which were got by attacking the conquests of the workers, which means hunger, misery, 25% of unemployment, and the liquidation of collective labour agreements.
Another apparent difference alleged between Merkel and Tsipras is about re-refinancing Greek debt. But this is not in discussion, since this debt is already bad and in any case they will have to refinance it.
The role of Syriza, "left" representative of the Morgan Bank, the Greek bankers and transnational corporations of shipowners, is -unlike Merkel and the Greek 'right' wing parties’- the disruption of the revolutionary assaults the working class from inside and with siren songs, diverting its struggles and suppressing its left wing. So has Syriza done with the rebellious youth, whose best anti-capitalist and anti-fascist fighters are already in prison. |

Syriza poisons with pacifism the consciousness of the masses, while the Greek great financial capital, together with imperialist Europe of Maastricht, prepares new counter-revolutionary fascist blows. To do this they have Golden Dawn as a tool --which not coincidentally has also called to vote NO in this plebiscite along with Syriza, while their top leaders have been released after grinding to sticks and killing immigrants and rebellious youth.
The referendum on July 5: a monumental undemocratic deception
What is voted in the plebiscite? Staying in the EU and supporting imperialist Maastricht, or staying in the EU with better conditions of payment for imperialist Greece, but always on the basis of greater exploitation and hunger for the working class. The plebiscite is an anti-democratic deception because it is not a struggle against the "program of the capitalists" under the flag of a “program of the workers”. The NO vote of Syriza and the Yes of the Merkel are two policies of the imperialist bandits to make the working class pay for the European bankers and transnationals’ crisis.
Some threaten with a "catastrophe" if Greece exits from Maastricht. But during its stay, Greece has not done very well; now it lives a barbaric situation. However, the exit of Greece from the euro would also mean the same debris and the same looting of the workers via devaluation and inflation. Greece within the euro's stability or Greece with inflation going back to the Drachma, are both ends of the same rope to strangle the working class. The plebiscite is totally undemocratic and Bonapartist. Either way workers are imposed falling in Syriza’s grill or the spit of the EU. Both two burn and boil.
The "new left" and its despicable politics towards bankers and imperialism
The "opponents" to Syriza, as groups allied to the NPA French or English SWP being in Antarsya, their allies of the PTS of Argentina, PO and his brother group the EEK and all the social-imperialist left, argue that you can give the “NO” a content other than the one it has, a "NO to the attack of the capitalists".
This is a vile lie. It is impossible. The Government of Syriza will use the NO to negotiate the terms of the deals and agreements against the workers with the gangs of the Bundesbank. It’s not the EEK or Antarsya which will go to discuss and to impose conditions "against the capitalists" after the plebiscite. The "anti-capitalist" NO is pure lip service. It strengthens Tsipras, one of the legs of the Greek and EU imperialist bankers.
The Syriza Government is a Government of class collaboration. All this leftist groups and parties want to hide that Tsipras with the entire Syriza and its parliamentary bloc (including its most "leftist" components) voted Prokopis Pavlopoulos as President for Greece; he is a man of New Democracy - a right-wing party of the Greek traditional bourgeoisie – which is calling to vote Yes in the referendum.
Then, the referendum is totally undemocratic and authoritarian. Both the YES and the NO have the same owner: the imperialist bankers of Maastricht, the real winners of this crisis against the workers both in Greece and throughout Europe. The workers and exploited are the real losers: now they have the road to the revolution closed due to their leaderships’ betrayal of dozens of general strikes and struggles with which the masses had sought a way out of the impasse and catastrophe thrown on them by the exploiters.
The Government of Syriza comes to disorganize and deceive the masses to save the great capitalists of Greece and the whole imperialist Europe
The plebiscite is a big lie. Syriza and the reformist left want the world working class to believe that the retrenchment setting begins just now. It’s a lie! Since 2008 the worst of the attacks on their conquests, standard of living, jobs… has been downloaded on the Greek and European working class in particular,... every trick serves to save the evil business of the Greek bankers and capitalists. What the exploiters are discussing now is one more step in this this attack, which both Tsipras and Merkel are willing to advance.
The referendum is a big hoax and trap against the workers; the only thing they can do is choosing which of their executioners kills them. This is the trap of Syriza and all Government of class collaboration: as we have already said, their role is lulling the masses and lead away them from attacking their enemies, i.e., the bankers and multinational corporations from all over Europe and Greece.
Syriza tells the masses that the enemy is in Germany and France, that it is not at home. But the gangs of the Greek large transnationals of the ship-owners and bankers - all partners to Morgan Bank, along with French, English, Austrian, German, Italian, Spanish financial capital, and also the financial oligarchy in Wall Street, are responsible for the bankruptcy of Europe that today they have pulled on the backs to millions of European and the world workers and exploited. What do Greek capitalists complain about if they are part of the 1% of parasites that have taken over 50% of the wealth of the planet?
There will be no release of the Greek working class from the oppression of imperialist Europe, if it does not settle account with and expropriates the expropriators of the workers and the people: bankers and large ship-owners transnationals who made super-profits in the middle of the biggest crisis in the history of Greece. This is what the "new left" of Syriza and their sycophants want to hide, while saving the earnings of the Greek capital, a partner of Merkel and the Bundesbank.
Greek bankers and transnationals are the big winners from the crisis in Greece. They have already taken all their super-profits abroad, carrying them to the HSBC, BNP Paribas of France and Wall Street. Moreover, 2,000 of their representatives are the biggest money launderers throughout Europe along with the City of London through the HSBC bank. Syriza has covered the Greek bankers their losses, as yesterday did the right with Karamanlis and PASOK with Papandreou. Syriza comes to conceal "from the left" this scam to the people. The plebiscite is nothing more than a big smokescreen to hide this robbery, to save the Greek possessing classes and close the road to the revolution of the workers and soldiers’ councils.
Neither Yes, nor NO! Down with the EU's imperialist gang! The disaster is already here.
Expropriation of the Greek bankers and transnationals without compensation! They have robbed the people together with the European imperialist gang. For a single State Bank!
Annulment and immediate cancellation of all conventions and agreements with the IMF, Wall Street and the Morgan banking! The IMF appears as "permissive" to collect the Greek debt because the Wall Street Morgan banks has assured that it will charge their credits with 30% of taxes on exports, imports, casinos, earnings, with part of the VAT, etc.
The Greece in bankruptcy, the EU disgraced lower partner, is eaten bit to bit by the hyenas. And the workers are always who pay for it.
The ally of the Greek working class is the millions of unemployed in Spain, Italy, Germany; and the millions of immigrant workers in the maquilas of Eastern Europe and its vanguard is in the struggle of the miners in Ukraine’s Donbass. To build their unity, workers in Greece must fight first for: out with the Greek military bases in Kosovo!
Syriza isn't the ally of Greek workers. The latter’s ally is but the German working class fighting together to recover the 36 hours of work and against the pay cuts, and also the Spanish, Italian and Portuguese workers and the workers who rebelled in the U.S. with the demand and the cry for "a $15 hour wage!" and "let’s expropriate the 1% of Wall Street parasites!"
Syriza is no ally of the Greek masses; its politicians are the new jailers of the rebellious youth. Immediate and unconditional freedom for Nikos Romanos and all the Greek political prisoners! Free the more than 3,500 immigrants flocking in the Greek-Turkish border! Out with Frontex!
For working-class and popular courts to judge and punish the murderers of Alexis Grigoropoulos, Lambros Foundas and all the martyrs of the working class and youth, also starting with the fascists who murdered Pavlo Fyssas, that were left free by the Government of Tsipras!
Dissolution of all the repressive forces of the State! Down with the murderous breed of officers of the Colonels Army!
The program of the reformist left of "moderating the adjustment" is the same as asking the Fox not to eat the Chickens. Stop holding imperialist Maastricht! That the bankers and transnational corporations pay for their crisis with the old Greek coin. The capitalists caused the ruin, let them pay for it!
That is the only way. Let's put up the power of the working class, of the workers councils, their self-defence committees and the committees of soldiers!
Neither the Drachma nor the euro! Socialist Revolution! Expropriation of the expropriators!
Money is overflowing the banks. Every one of the exploiters wants to hide it. This money is which has been robbed and taken away by the Greek and European financial oligarchy. The transnational corporations and the ship owners have it. Let it be given to the people and to the control by the workers, without any compensation!
That is the largest insurance and warranty for all small investors, whom the bankers are trying to expropriate their savings with the Bank “corralitos”. The "new left" of Syriza and company wants to impose fright and terror to the workers, so that these do not progress in their fight against the capitalists.
They lie! With the super-profits of the Greek ship-owners, with their businesses in their paradisiacal Islands and in their banks, where they launder money, there is enough money to repay all of the savings of the poor people, to feed the hungry and ensure decent work for all workers in Greece.
Down with the trap of the plebiscite of Syriza, Merkel, the EU and the IMF!
The Greek CP (KKE), which is at the head of most of the unions, denounces this trap of the plebiscite. After betraying all the attempts by the masses to confront the EU pirates, it now rises "neither Yes, nor NO, withdrawal of the EU with the people in power". But these are four steps in the clouds. How can the people take power?
Let's speak clearly: the KKE in the leadership of the unions gives now a step to the left of the plebiscite to be able to channel the next mass offensive that is already in the making, because the Greek working class will not endure more and has already demonstrated that it is able to do 32 General strikes. The CP refused to raise these massive and combative strikes into the realm of political struggle to transform them into the beginning of the revolution. When he could not do this by the usual means, it prevented it to the beatings. The KKE is the jailer of the revolution and that’s why it takes its current location.
Other currents pose "give a revolutionary content" to Syriza’s “NO”. They end up being sellers of smoke and illusions, attesting to the fraudulent plebiscite.
Others call in general to "attack the interests of the capitalists". But how? With what power? Do they mean “pressing Syriza so it will expropriate them”? If Syriza has already shown that it is the left of the Morgan banking.
Enough is enough! The Greek left is expropriating the working class its bodies of power: the committees of factory, the unemployed and tenants committees, the committees of students who defend education, the militant unions and their committees of self-defense against attacks by the fascists. These bodies of mass power have already emerged, such as the committees of soldiers, who are nothing more than unemployed workers that go to the army to be able to eat. Let's coordinate and centralize these organs!
That power of the exploited would organize the millions of immigrant workers, who are the majority and the heart of the European working class, from Portugal to the Russian steppes. That power of the Greek Councils of workers and soldiers would be the only alternative solidarity to the workers of the Spanish State against the lie of PODEMOS and its promise of "a new democratic revolution" carried forward with a reformed Bourbon monarchy solidly in its place.
Against fraudulent plebiscite by Tsipras and Merkel, let's set up a national Democratic Congress of the vast majority in Greece, which are the exploited! The first measure of that power of those at the bottom would be expropriating those of the above, the looters of the Greek working class. The second immediate measure would be coordinating the struggle with all of the European working class to declare war to the attack of all the exploiters. Because the only way out of the Europe of Maastricht that could be favorable to workers is not Greece of the Drachma but revolutionary Greece, Greece of the Councils of workers and soldiers.
A Congress of workers, poor peasants, students and soldiers would be an electric shock that would wield together the ranks of the European working class and their organizations of struggle, and open a historical period of revolutions on the old continent, both East and West, as happened at the exit of the second world war or the heroic uprisings of ' 68 /'74. The Greek proletariat will not conquer the solidarity of the working class if it does not break with submission imposed by Syriza and the reformist left to the imperialist Greek bourgeoisie, as predatory and exploitative of workers in Greece and Eastern Europe as the Pirates of the German financial capital.
It is clear now that KKE goes to Syriza’s "opposition" side to then close the road to the power bodies of the masses and prevent them from coordinating and centralizing, which would make them lead the working class to the seizure of power. Only a Government of Councils of workers and soldiers, students and rebellious youth can confront Maastricht and defeat the plan of hunger and misery of the Troika and imperialism not only in Greece but all across Europe.
Either Greece will be a bastion of world revolution and the spark of Athens will once again ignite the European revolution, or what is to come will not be "more democracy", but fascism and the war between imperialist gangs on the loot. Greece and Ukraine anticipate this alternative of iron that is already here: either socialism or barbarism. Everything else is a lie of the "new left", coming only to sell the old recipes to the rescue of capitalism.
But in Greece, the teeth of the fake lefts have been broken. Or perhaps they are to blame that it has not yet been standing revolution in Greece to the "backwardness" of the working class and the masses, as these leaderships like to say to justify their treachery? But the Greek working class -even with 25% unemployment-, has starred in 32 General strikes since 2008 until now.
The imperialist Europe only can be defeated with a Socialist Revolution. The power of the propertied classes in Greece, which borrowed upon its soul and made it fell on its knees, can only be confronted with the power of the exploited.
Neither Yes, nor NO! Let’s set up right now the power of the working class!
Open the way to revolution!
Down with Maastricht!
For the Socialist United States of Europe, from Portugal to the Russian steppes! |
