7 years ago, Abu Al Baraa, Trotskyist leader of the Leon Sedov Brigade fell in the struggle to break the siege of Aleppo in 2016 by the bullets of the fascist al-Assad and the butcher Putin. Abu Al Baraa fell raising the banners of the Fourth International and fighting for the victory of the revolution in Syria, as a link of a single revolution together with Palestine and the whole Maghreb and Middle East.
It was in Syria where imperialism concentrated all its forces to cut and crush that chain of revolutions. It raged against the Syrian masses causing the bloodiest genocide of the 21st century.
Abu Al Baraa not only confronted al-Assad and Putin, but also fought against the surrender that the Sunnite bourgeoisie was carrying out of the rebel areas. It is this bourgeoisie that today is sitting, under the orders of Turkey, at the Geneva table sharing the businesses of a bloody Syria with al-Assad.
Abu Al Baraa, co-author of the book Syria Under Fire and Diary of a Syrian Writer, fought to set up an international center for the victory of the world revolution. He fought together with all his comrades in the Leon Sedov Brigade and in the FLTI to break the siege of silence and slander that the treacherous leaderships of the world working class set up to separate it from the Syrian revolution. To this day the currents of the reformist left continue to slander the Syrian masses and the revolutionary socialists who fought alongside them and left our blood on the battlefield. Despite what they say, Abu Al Baraa is a martyr of the Syrian and Palestinian revolution.

We have suffered bitter defeats in these battles. As a result, today we see Zionism, commanded by imperialism, launching a genocidal offensive on our Palestinian brothers in Gaza. If the world working class had fought for Syria, reaching Damascus and cutting off the head of the serpent that is al-Assad, the Palestinian masses would be in a better position to defeat the Zionist beast and expel it from the Middle East.
The struggle for which Abu Al Baraa gave his life is more alive than ever. He lives in the Syrian masses of Swayda, Daraa and the north who are taking to the streets again against the fascist al-Assad and in support of the Palestinian masses. He lives in the Palestinian resistance against the genocidal offensive of Zionism. He lives in all the demonstrations in the Middle East and the world in support of the Palestinian masses and confronting Zionism and imperialism. But above all, he lives in the fight to recover the Fourth International from the hands of those who liquidated it even organizationally by bringing it to the feet of Stalinism.
